These properties are on the edge of the National Park, 2 miles from the centre of Thornton-le-Dale, and are all set on a working farm. This is an ideal touring location from which to explore the North York Moors and the East Coast, with Scarborough approximately 15 miles. Whitby, with its harbour, marina and sandy beach, 20 miles, and the quaint old fishing villages of Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay. A visit to Goathland, TVs 'Aidensfield' and 'Heartbeat' is a must. Alternatively, the attractive town of Pickering with its North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, market, swimming pool and leisure centre is just a short drive. The historic, walled city of York is just 20 miles, with its wealth of musuems, shops, inns and restaurants, together with the Minster and Jorvik Viking Centre. You can even take a leisurely sightseeing cruise on the river. Within the grounds of the properties, there is a shared, heated, outdoor swimming pool that is available from Spring Bank Holiday to the end of September. Charity Farmhouse (ref 19442) provides exceptionally spacious, carefully presented and well equipped accommodation. Willow Cottage (ref 19443) is ideal for a family of four, and Willow House (ref 19444) has been converted and renovated throughout to accommodate eight guests. Willow Cottage and Willow House are both set just further down the lane from Charity Farmhouse, have an interconnecting door and together they can accommodate parties of 12, or can be booked individually for smaller groups.
