Site Description
Sandylands is close to the famous sandy beaches of the Ayrshire
coast. From here you can explore the scenic glens and magnificent
mountains of northwest Ayrshire, take a boat trip to the Isle
of Arran or stroll into the centre of the popular holiday resort
of nearby Saltcoats. Enjoy a dip in the heated indoor pool, or
take a walk to the nearby sandy beach. Kids will love Sparkys
Krew Club, where they can take part in Clown Academy, Mini Beast
Safari, Fancy dress, puzzles, quizzes and games. In the evening,
head for the Beacon Showbar for a great line up of fun and family
entertainment, with dancing shows, visiting bands and exciting
cabarets.

Loudoun Castle Family Theme Park. 500 acres of fun in the castle
grounds, full of thrills for all the family, including The Wild
Mouse Roller Coaster, The Log Flume and Super Nova. Culzean Castle.
An Italianate castle in over 500 acres of country park and gardens.
The dramatic cliff top setting gives marvellous views over the
Firth of Clyde. Ayr Racecourse for regular fixtures throughout
the year. Kelburn Castle & Country Centre. The 13th century
castle provides an impressive background to exotic gardens with
famous trees. The Kelburn Glen with its waterfalls and deep gorges
is one of Scotlands most beautiful woodlands. Burns National
Heritage Park in romantic Alloway includes the cottage where this
great poet was born. Visit the monument, the Brig oDoon,
and haunted Kirk Alloway, then relax in the Tam oShanter
visitor centre. Isle of Arran. Take the boat from Ardossan to Scotland
in miniature as Arran is known and you will find magnificent
Highland scenery, a distillery, micro brewery, aromatics, craft

Directions
From Glasgow, take the M77 to Prestwick Airport/Kilmarnock. Follow
signs for Kilmarnock until you see the signs for Irvine. Follow
signs to Irvine to pick up the signs for Ardrossan. Follow the
A78 signs for Stevenson. Go through Stevenson, past the Auchenharvie
Leisure Centre. The Sandylands Holiday Park is located on the left. |
