Situated alongside the River Waveney, in the very heart of the beautiful Waveney Valley all commanding views of river, marshes and countryside, the park offers a unique experience to guests of all ages. Motor launches, rowing boats, Canadian canoes and cycles are available for daily hire (advanced bookings recommended during the summer season). Fishing available on site (seasonal with permit), the River Waveney is particularly popular with pike, bream and perch, and an annual fishing competition is held during September. Explore the surrounding area with its network of quiet lanes and footpaths from the doorstep. Historic market town of Beccles, 5 miles, and Bungay, 8 miles. Seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 10 miles, with fun fair, sports and leisure centre, butterfly park, model village, waxwork museum, shopping centre and market day on Saturday. Oulton Broad, 11 miles, the largest of the Norfolk Broads, with motor boat racing, sailing regatta and boat trips. Pleasurewood Hills, 12 miles, for action filled American style theme park. City of Norwich, 16 miles, for excellent shopping, cafes, bowling alley, cinemas, theatre, castle museum and cathedral. Shop (seasonal) and pub on site.
