Our spacious emplacements are grouped amidst ten acres of terraced parkland which is like a well kept garden - a maze of flowering bushes and shrubs with willows lining the banks of the small stream. The oak beamed bar and excellent restaurant are housed in old ivy clad buildings - all very different from the superb modern pool complex with its swimming pools and three waterchutes! The bar terrace, overlooking the pool, is an ideal spot for listening to live music in high season and for sipping one of the delicious cocktails on offer. Stone paths take you through the site and past colourful flower beds to our grassy emplacements which are scattered amongst mature oak trees. Relax by the swimming pool with two twisting waterchutes or join one of the canoe excursions from site.

Camping la Paille Basse is a haven of relaxation set upon a wooded hilltop. This is a welcoming 'Castels' site, which has evolved from a medieval hamlet, and is now rated as a superb, Michelin 'four red tent' site. Today, sandstone shepherds' cottages of times past house the rustic oak beamed restaurant, bar and shop. Many of the spacious emplacements are set on terraces where there is plenty of space for the children to play, while you relax in the shade with a glass of local wine. The pool complex offers glorious views of the rolling countryside from its terrace - in addition to the main pool, there is a separate children's pool and waterslides. In high season, the friendly owners organise a wide range of activities including quiz nights and evening discos.
