Boatyard Description: Situated in a picturesque Broadland village, famous as the setting for Arthur Ransome's "Coot Club" and "Big Six, within reach of the most popular waters in north Broadland. This specialist company aims to provide the best in sailing holidays with advice and tuition from an expert and enthusiastic staff of local yachtsmen. A unique selection of historic, gaff yachts restored and maintained in the purist fashion of yesteryear, and modern newly constructed yachts providing for every comfort afloat. A small section of their yachts are reserved for Friday start and short breaks all season, so that couples and families can avoid the usual weekend rush. Many yachts are designed for families and newcomers, for whom free tuition is offered. The faster and larger yachts are tailored to the tastes and abilities of the seasoned sailor who will appreciate the precise qualities of a tall Bermudan rig or the matchless exhilaration of a large gunter sail, or gaff sail; several of which have the option of a topsail. Sailing/rowing dinghies for hire. Undercover car parking only at £15 per week. Regret no all male/all female groups unless with prior permission on yachts of standard 3 berth and over. The company retains sole discretion to equip boats with a lesser sail area if in their perception weather conditions or the experience/makeup of a party so dictate. Boats normally ready from 3pm on start day. A non-refundable damage waiver is charged .
