SILSDEN - ACTON BRIDGE
Enjoy a one-way cruise between Silsden and Acton Bridge onboard Molly's Drum, passing through the Yorkshire Dales to the summit of the Leeds and Liverpool canal. Work your way through the challenging 23 locks at Wigan and visit Wigan Pier, made famous by George Orwell. Travel via the original canal, the Bridgewater, built by the Duke of the same name, through the heart of Manchester, over the Manchester Ship canal by the Barton Swing Aqueduct. See the famous restored Anderton Boat lift and finish your cruise at Acton Bridge, on the Trent and Mersey canal, in the heart of the Cheshire plain.
The direction of your cruise cannot be guaranteed when you book and you will be required to telephone the boatyard for this information 5 days before your holiday. When hiring this boat, it is necessary for one member of the party to have a current, clean driving licence as a car will be provided to transfer between bases.
