Boatyard Description: Based at Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, the Boat Centre is situated on the River Lee and is within easy reach of the M25. It is ideally located for exploring the scenic delights of the Lee Valley Country Park and is the perfect place for walking, birdwatching, picnicking and angling. Visit historic Waltham Abbey or the market town of Ware. Alternatively why not combine the delights of the River Lee with cruising on the historic River Stort to Bishop's Stortford. For the more adventurous, on longer breaks, cruise the Lee to the Hertford Union, then on the Grand Union to Limehouse and out onto the tidal Thames to Brentford or Teddington, or stay on the Grand Union and cruise to Camden, London Zoo and Little Venice. These boats are only licensed for the rivers Lee and Stort however, if you enter the canal system the boatyard will refund any licence you may have to pay. Bicycles, TVs and barbecues are sometimes available free of charge by prior arrangement with the boatyard, subject to availability. One pet welcome aboard free on all boats, except 72 Club, others at extra charge. Mobile phones are needed on boats wishing to cruise the tidal Thames, 12v car type charging sockets are provided on all boats, but please bring your own lead. A non-refundable damage waiver is charged . Boats of 10 berth and above are subject to a refundable cash deposit of £150 payable on arrival.
