The Old Stable dates back to 1600 but was converted in 1980 to offer spacious detached holiday accommodation which is ideal for families or friends to get together, or ideal for celebrations any time of the year. The barn conversion is pleasantly situated in the popular village of Cheriton Fitzpaine, adjoining open countryside with excellent rural views, yet is just a short walk from the village centre and all amenities. The spacious and well planned accommodation also has an enclosed garden, ideal for children and pets. Cheriton Fitzpaine is a parish and substantial village approximately one and a half miles north-east of the Crediton/Tiverton A3072 road. It is a typical mid Devon village with traditional white cottages and thatched roofs. There are two old inns and a post office. The ancient gothic style church was built in the 15th century and the primary school is over 100 years old and one of only two thatched roof schools in Devon. The city of Exeter is about 9 miles away and the town of Crediton 5 miles. There are so many activities all close by, including horse riding, golf, surfing and many walks from the property. Crealy Adventure Park, ideal for children, is only 9 miles away. The coast of North Devon is a mere 15 miles. There are also many NT properties all within a short drive. Tiverton is 10 miles away; take a trip on the Grand Western Horseboat, a trip along the canal exploring the Great Western Canal onboard a traditional horse-drawn barge, or visit the Devon Railway Centre, a narrow gauge railway centre with 2ft gauge railway, train rides, model railway layouts and a museum in the beautiful Exe valley of Bickleigh just outside Tiverton.
