Set in approximately &frac34; acre of stunning gardens in an elevated position, this beautiful detached Tudor-style house overlooks the village tennis courts and lies on the main road next to the pretty village of Scalby. The friendly owners have created a peaceful holiday haven with every need catered for - there is a separate games room (in detached garage) with pool table, board games and darts. In the garden the children will find a Wendy house, swings and a tree house, and guests are invited to share the<strong> indoor heated swimming-pool</strong>, set in the grounds of Killerby Old Hall in Cayton village (7&frac12; miles). Traditionally modern with clean-cut lines and beautifully furnished throughout, The Mount makes a perfect place for that family celebration or special reunion. <br />A short stroll leads to the heart of the village of Scalby, with village shops, 2 pubs, tea rooms/bistro and St Mary&rsquo;s church. Scalby beck runs adjacent to the village and provides a beautiful backdrop for country walks, whilst the old Scarborough to Whitby railway line can be followed as it winds through the open countryside. The Mount has the advantage of village life whilst all necessary amenities are close to hand. Scarborough has been welcoming guests for more than 300 years and is a bustling seaside town with a colourful promenade, its twin bays and sandy beaches, together with the 1000-year-old castle and all facilities that could be wished for.<br />To the north of the town is a stunning coastline with the old smuggling village of Robin Hood&rsquo;s Bay, leading up towards historic Whitby.
