Wonderful walking is at the door of these light and roomy cottages in the foothills of the Lake District._Explore Wet Sleddale, secret Swindale, and follow the old track to Mardale and Haweswater Lake. Unless you are on Wainwright&rsquo;s Coast to Coast Path you will probably not meet anybody all day! Just 1 mile from Shap, 11 miles from Penrith and 15 miles from Kendal with supermarkets, lots of shops and restaurants, and arts centre.
