With excellent access from the motorway networks and just off the A46 near Stroud it makes it an ideal holiday base from which to explore the Georgian city of Bath or the Regency town of Cheltenham, both of which have a wealth of fine shops, restaurants and theatres. Alternatively spend an afternoon in the nearby small town of Nailsworth with its individual shops and restaurants.<br />Set in the South Cotswolds, St Anthony&rsquo;s Lodge is the perfect location from which to explore the many interesting villages including Minchinhampton and Amberley, close to Rodborough Common, and further to the north the charming hillside village of Chalford and nearby Bisley set within an AONB. Take a stroll in the grounds of Woodchester Mansion with its woodland walks, five beautiful lakes and grounds home to wildlife and rare breeds, or perhaps visit Westonbirt Arboretum, particularly in the autumn with the many changing glorious colours of the trees.
