Ideal for families, adults and children alike with canal cruises, river, lake and pond fishing, an 18 hole golf course, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, a parachute and gliding centre, all within a 12-mile drive. A short drive leads into the coastal resorts of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey where Blue Flag sandy beaches stretch for miles and the colourful promenades are lined with inns, tea rooms and restaurants. Experience some true British heritage by visiting some of the stately homes, castles and abbeys in the area, such as Burton Agnes Hall known for its collection of Renoir and Monet paintings, or Sledmere Hall with beautiful gardens, both within a 20-minute drive.
