Situated just <frac>&frac12;</frac> mile from the charming character harbour of Boscastle, this detached and spacious cottage makes an ideal base for larger groups or families to explore the outstanding coastline, which can be found a short walk away. The property offers a secluded patio and lawned area at the rear which is perfect for al-fresco dining or enjoying a morning coffee. There is also a small chidren&rsquo;s play room and the dining area is situated in a bright conservatory with views of one of Boscastle&rsquo;s churches as well as the garden.<br />Boscastle itself has a number of pubs and restaurants, as well as many shops and a visitor centre. Some of the most popular tourist sights that Cornwall has to offer are easily accessible including Tintagel, the home of the legendary King Arthur - who was said to be born on Tintagel Island and where the remains of the 13th-century castle still stand. Below the castle on the Castle Beach is Merlin&rsquo;s cave, which is can be visited at low tide. The National Trust owns much of the spectacular cliffline by the castle, as well as the characterful Old Post Office with its garden, which is open to visitors. There are numerous shops, cafes and pubs to browse around, as well as King Arthur&rsquo;s Great Halls (which boast some fine stained glass windows), a rock and fossil museum and a toy museum. <br />For beaches, there is Trebarwith Strand, as well as Bude with its lovely sandy beaches and golf course. The charming harbour town of Port Isaac is a short drive from Boscastle and makes for a pleasant day trip. <br />Further south lies the estuary village of Rock, where visitors can take a ferry to Padstow - home to Rick Stein&rsquo;s famous fish restaurant and cookery school, as well its narrow shops with a variety of shops.
