The Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach, along with the market town of Beccles (3&frac12; miles) and the seaside resorts of Lowestoft, Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh. Birdwatchers will doubtless head for the RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere, while closer at hand is the lesser-known Benacre Broad at Covehithe.
