Renovated from an old barn, they are nicely decorated and furnished and feature exposed beams, with views over farmland to the fells beyond and walking right from the door._In John Peel country, Caldbeck is a pretty and peaceful village which has, in addition to cafes, craft and antique shops, a goldsmith, clogmaker and bowling green. Situated on the edge of the National Park, it is known locally as ’Back o’ Skiddaw’, a walk over which will bring you into the bustling market town of Keswick. Keswick with its lakes, Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water are a 15-minute drive and full of interesting things to see and do._Enjoy a ride up Derwent Water on the Keswick Launch, use the many walking and cycle paths to explore the breathtaking scenery, experience Keswick Spa, the theatre by the lake and the numerous museums suitable for all the family.
