Nearby cliff walks or a stroll around the historic harbour and marina of Whitehaven, with a boat or fishing trip followed by a meal in one of the many restaurants will provide a leisurely day out. The area has many golf courses and other attractions including Muncaster Castle, ‘Laal Ratty’, the miniature railway running along Eskdale, and Dalston Wildlife Park.
